We stopped by Merida for a few hours and we found this nice restaurant in the centre of the city, just a few minutes walking from the Roman theatre. The place looks cosy and attractive and is decorated with authentic agricultural tools and vegetables typical from this area of Spain. We had two lunch meal deals each one including a starter, main and dessert. I had courgettes filled with cheese and ham as a starter and my partner had a gazpacho (soup). Then we both had terneiro with vegetables. Our puddings were fruit and flam. All was delicious and also portions were quite generous. We came across this place in the old city of Mérida thinking it was a tourist restaurant. It isn 't. This was food cooked to a high standard and beautifully presented. One of us has a spaghetti carbonara starter no cream here, just pure authentic egg carbonara. Delicious. The entrecot was cooked to perfection. Delighted so far, I accepted the waiter 's recommendation to have the 'fig bonbons '. This was simply the best and most creative dessert I 've had for a long time. Después de dar un largo paseo por Mérida pasamos por delante de este restaurante y algo nos hizo detenernos. Echamos un vistazo al interior, y aunque era pronto, las 13.00 h., decidimos quedarnos a comer. Comimos tan bien q volvimos al día siguiente. El camarero muy atento con nosotros y con las intolerancias de nuestra hija. Nos recomendó en todo momento q comer. La verdura es toda cultivada en su propia huerta. 100% recomendable. We can't do anything but congratulate the people that since we told him to order the dinner they were all facilities. We knew the restaurant and we loved it. Dinner has been magnificent. the ajoblanco with its garrison, excellent, the varied croquettes, the golden cod. Hemos estado cenando y ha sido una muy buena experiencia. La atención del dueño ha sido excepcional, hemos pedido la cena y muy honestamente nos ha dicho que era demasiado para dos, nos ha aconsejado pedir menos y la verdad esque tenía razón, las raciones son muy completas y está todo riquísimo, postres exquisitos. En definitiva un lugar recomendable 100%. Volveremos sin duda!
We loved this restaurant. We ate the menu of the day and everything was super good. the gazpacho an incredible taste. The vegetables are very good. rice with milk with a touch of super nice strawberry lemon and our pear has been very agusto. also very good repapalos. if you're going to be loved, don't hesitate to go through this beautiful place.
Home-made proximity food. Well cooked, you feel as if you were having a meal in one of the private Merida houses. The owner is very sensitive to gluten intolerance and advised us very well. Almost all dishes were gluten-free, as they do their own sauces, etc. Special mention for their green beans with ham. Good value for the money.

Muy rico. El sitio entrañable, típico, en la zona del patio, atrás. Nos atendieron muy bien. Comimos delicioso, las migas espectaculares. Muy recomendable y el precio justo. También recomendable los trigueros. Son abundantes las raciones así que no llegamos a los postres.
