There is no dedicated wait staff for a section. I had at least 5 or 6 people bring a menu, take my order, bring my food, bring the bill and then pay the bill. While I can understand it's probably very efficient for the money managers, that rushed aspect takes away from enjoying the food an at upscale lunch spot. This placed used to serve an epic pork chop it was huge and juicy and super succulent, and one of the top two best pork chops Superwoman and I had ever had. That was back in 2015. I can't believe how good the lunch tartare was... I came here with my friend for the lunch menu and was amazed how good the food was. The lunch tartare came with the soup of the day, the main dish and the dessert of the day at 17$. For the soup, it was very tasty and perfect temperature. I can't remember exactly what the flavour was but I believe it was a vegetable soup. For the tartare, it was amazing. Salty but with a hint of sweetness. The tartare came with some plantain chips, crostini and a salad. The dessert was a vanilla ice cream with some chocolate drizzled sauce. Table 51 is obviously where the beautiful people go to dine Picture a large bottle of Italian water, dishes prepared with pristine aesthetic in mind. Even in my three-piece suit I felt a bit underdressed in the presence of this food. Chasing excellence, I perusing the menu discovering the signature braised beef. Eat it without a fork they say. To think someone took the time to sign and braise the beef. I guess it 's Canada so I wont complain. I 'll just ask nicely. bring me this beef with you have made so tender. Innovative pub style food and their vegetarian options are really good! They can even do fresh mint leaves for a tea!!! Yeah! Each of us were quite impressed with our meals. I got the shrimp burger but sadly the bun wasn't warm and not toasted! Our server said it was but the kitchen didn't seem to get the message. It would have mad a five star review for me. Just toast the bun and don't serve them cold. Otherwise we were all equally happy with the food and service. It did change when they changed servers which went downhill a bit. So maybe we came at a good time with our original server. So three stars is very decent. If the kitchen only toasted the buns and didn't serve cold buns.
I had the poutine here twice. Once a couple of months ago and once today. Last time was phenomenal but this time around it tasted like it was a completely different recipe because of how burnt and dry the meat was. It’s like they reheated it in a microwave. Gravy tasted like it was from the bottom of the barrel or a week old cause it was lumpy and chunky. Potatoes weren’t smashed in. I tried to tell the waiter but he said it’s the same recipe? Whatever the cook did, it did not taste good Consistency is key otherwise I won’t come back and I can’t recommend this place anymore.
Short stay in Laval and across the hotel was Table 51, we didn't make reservations but walked in for an early dinner so they had many tables. Crab Cakes as a main? Yes please! Crab cakes were nicely done, a little oily from being fried but delicious filling. Fries were also lightly seasoned and with a kale slaw that's not bad, definitely helped cut back some of the greasiness.

To be fair, this place is a hidden gem. The service is something different and way better than you can ever expect (props to you Sam). The food was good, decent wine selection and plenty of cocktails to sip. The ambiance and music was fine.We'll go back for sure
My first time ever to this restaurant. I heard that it was good so I wanted to try it. I had a great experience here. Clara was my waitress and she was very nice. Thank you Clara for the service. Next time I come I will ask to be seated at your table.
