Google Maps is mixing up two different restaurants into one entry. Tacacá do Norte is a simple and delicious pub-like space with tight counter space sitting. You can eat the traditional tacacá, “casquinha de carangueijo” (sautéed crabmeat topped toasted manioc meal), and “unha de carangueijo” (fried crabmeat cakes), or enjoy a fantastic bowl of açaí with tapioca. The second space is Tacacá do Norte Gourmet, a sit down restaurant with a full fledged Amazonian menu. The cooking is as good as it gets, home cooking style food. Their offerings, such as the roast duck in tucupi sauce, make me think of my grandmother’s cooking. Both places are the standard reference for northern Brazilian cooking (...

Traditional Brazilian restaurant and take away shop. There are two separate windows. One is for a quick bite and take away, the other one, few meters away is for the restaurant. Simple menu with all the main traditional Brazilian dishes including dishes from the north of the country and the Amazons. Pretty decent prices. Service is fast but sometime hard to communicate as they only speak Portuguese.

One of the best açaí bowls I had in Rio served with granula and tapioca. This place also does traditional dishes, soups, juices. Apart from açaí casquinha de caranguejo (crab dish served In shell) popular among the locals, and Graviola juice were delicious. Graviola is very rich on vitamins and minerals so this juice is great healthy addition to your meal.

Came for the tacacá but also got the Brazil nut ice cream which was amazing!! It was my first time having tacacá so I definitely didn't expect the slight spice but it was honestly very delicious. Pro tip: the soup is sipped directly from the bowl. Book a table now

I went here to try the açaí from the north and I highly recommend that you do to. It's pure açaí and has a different consistency. It's different but very good, it also is more like yogurts rather than that icey açaí. Definitely worth a try

Original North Brazilian taste with traditional specialties including Vatapa, Cururu, etc. Make sure you go to the Gourmet location rather than the fast food one, you can sit nicer and be more relaxed. Both locations are 15 meters apart.

Authentic Brazilian acai. The real deal. Just what I was looking for as a tourist. The girl who helped me was nice despite the language barrier. Good customer service. I would recommend.

This is the best place for açaí in the whole of Brazil outside of the state of Para itself nothing I tried anywhere compares. This is the real authentic thing! Book a table now
