Don't get me wrong, I visit this place frequently. The food is excellent, and they usually get my order right. However, they've recently changed their closing time to 9 PM. I understand the challenges of short staffing, but the new system is frustrating. They seem to only take two orders at a time, which leaves the person at the intercom waiting for five minutes or more. I don't see why they can't just stick to the usual process of ordering and waiting. Instead, I'm left waiting, I place my order, and when I finally get to the window, there’s no one in front of me. I wish they would return to the previous ordering method. That said, the staff are always very friendly.
My recent experience at Taco Bell on Gateway Drive in Coon Rapids was disappointing. I found a large, hard object in my food that seemed like dried rice or something alike, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, this location isn’t following Taco Bell’s COVID safety measures; they don’t provide out-the-window credit card payments or use trays when serving food at the car window. In contrast, the Blaine Taco Bell location adhered to these protocols last week, making the visit much safer. I hope they review their menu preparation and safety practices soon.

We visited Taco Bell drive-thru tonight and, unlike our usual experience, we received the wrong order. The items we did get were poorly made—my Crunchwrap was soggy, thin, and lacked filling. They also included a chicken and cheese taco that we didn’t order, which was so small I wouldn’t have chosen it myself. I don’t think calling to complain will help, as I’m worried the same problems would happen again. Typically, we’ve had better service during the daytime.
I waited in the Taco Bell drive-thru for 20 minutes this morning and couldn’t leave due to the poor design of the drive-thru and curb. Instead of letting the car ahead pull around and wait, they kept them at the window. To make matters worse, that car received a coupon, but the four of us stuck in line received nothing. Because of this delay, I missed my appointment, making my $5 breakfast from their menu much more costly!
If you’re planning to visit after 11 PM, make sure to stop at a Holiday gas station first to fill up. Otherwise, ensure you have at least half a tank, or you might find yourself running out of gas while waiting in line. On a Saturday night, there were only two employees handling one order at a time.
This Taco Bell is by far the friendliest I’ve ever been to! The staff always brings a cheerful and positive vibe to the drive-thru. The line moves fast, and their service is impressively efficient. This is Taco Bell at its finest! I only wish they stayed open until 2 or 3 am!
