When comparing this Mexican restaurant to others within a 20-minute drive, the food seems average at best. The prices are quite steep, especially considering the quality; paying almost $40 for a California burrito with rice and beans is simply outrageous. The staff is friendly, and I have no complaints in that regard. However, it seems like every time this place gets a new owner, they become overly focused on profit. Given that it's one of the few dining options in Pembroke, you would think they wouldn't try to take advantage of their customers like this.
I am very surprised at the flavorless Birria tacos I ordered. The service was good but in all honesty the tacos were horrible. Not only was the meat similar to minced meat and flavorless and the consome was terribel. I have made much better birria and have no Spanish background. This place would never survive if there were any other competitors around them.
I’ve eaten at probably over 100 different Mexican joints and I was pleasantly surprised by Taco Depot. My waitress Rachel had such great positive energy she turned my day around with her joyful attitude and great Birria taco recommendation! I’ll be back anytime I’m in the area.

I absolutely love visiting this place! The food is fantastic, and we always receive excellent customer service. Rachel is often our waitress, and she is incredibly sweet and attentive.
