I used to work near this place so I 've gone here a bunch over the years. It 's not going to have the most amazing food, but it 's still pretty solid and is better than a lot of other Mexican fast food restaurants in Colorado. My favorite meat here is the carnitas, although they deep fry the shredded beef tacos and those come out pretty good as well. The carne asada isn 't bad, but usually comes out a little dry. The guacamole is usually solid, and I like paying extra for a side and using it as a dip for my quesadilla. The hours say it opens at 6am, but I went there once around 5:45 and they took my order. I realized today I've been eating here for over 20 years. I started coming when I lived here before I could drive, and in high school it was our favorite late night spot. I would visit from college just to get a chicken burrito or sausage breakfast burrito. Anytime I visited I would make sure to stop at Taco Express. I'm visiting this week and have eaten Taco Express 3 times already and it's exactly how I remember it. The absolute best!
This place is too good to get the rolled tacos and thank me later. They were lovely and had some of the best steak from a restaurant like this in a while. Everything was hot, fresh, and moist, and it stayed that way. The rolled tacos stayed crispy, and the guac was so fresh and creamy. My husband had the chimichanga, and it was so good. Please go here. I cannot recommend it enough, and next time, we're in the springs. We're going here!
Taco Express is an absolute gem. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is outstanding. I accidentally left my wallet at home, but they graciously paid for my meal. I can't express how grateful I am. 10 out of 10! Book a table now
I love this place. The shrimp tacos I got were fantastic. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and it is not serverly over priced for the value that you receive. It is worth the price paid again and again.
Ordered a carne asada burrito halfway through I chewing on a bone. Don’t eat here. It could have been a child it could’ve ended badly. Especially because it was very sharp
Honestly this place gets overlooked so often, food is always solid and fresh. Staff is always nice. If I HAD to gripe, I'd say that sometimes they're slow, that's IT
