Taco Mesa has a King Tostada on the menu. It features GMO-Free corn chips, beans, chile sauce, melted cheeses, topped with hearts of romaine, pico de gallo, lime vinaigrette, avocado, carrot, sour cream and shaved jicama. A restaurant that still gets me excited after 20+ years needs a fresh review. The blackened chicken burrito with a side of chips and quac is hands down my favorite. Awesome food. Not a lot of tables so seating could be a problem but people are in and out of there quickly. I loved the asada tacos and the extra cabbage they put on to make it have that extra crunch. My husband and kids loved their beans and that they weren't your typical refried beans. My son loved his blackened chicken burrito and of course couldn't finish all of it because it was so big.
Taco Mesa is a refreshing alternative to the typical Mexican fast food chains, and it’s definitely superior. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is quick and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, the food is fantastic!

This is a great spot to take someone who is new to the area. If you live nearby like I do, you might find other places that serve better tacos. However, I must say their food presentation and quality are quite impressive.
The food is fresh, and the staff is friendly! It's a fantastic go-to spot in the neighborhood. You can choose to dine in, as there is seating available, or you can opt for takeout!
We stopped at about 10:30 on the way to a Newport Landing fishing trip. I had the Lobster enchiladas, very good and a steak taco, also very good, For dessert I had flan.
Really good authentic Mexican food. Friendly staff. Not much of a place to eat in, so we almost always use take-out.
