I stopped by today after reading about the great purpose this business serves for people with disabilities. We need more businesses such as this one. The name Tag Team comes fromthe process by which this mother and son team initially needed to complete the steps needed in each step in a recipe. You can buy large-sized or small-sized pizza kits that come with sauce and cheese ready for you take home and bake. It's so easy, and about 12 minutes later I had a delicious pizza!I bought the small pizza kits; one regular crust, and one Parmesan garlic crust. Results: So delicious! We regularly buy the prepared pizza crusts from Tag Team. The one pictured here is half/half whole wheat flour but we also love whole wheat herb crusts, the garlic-parm, and several of the vegan choices. We often use our own sauce and always use our own veggie toppings. This one was a real treat because we had garlic scapes! We would always get the crusts at the Saturday Kensington Farmer’s Market but know we can pick it up at other days and times because they now have a store located on Metropolitan Ave. in Kensington. We’ll continue having their easy to make at home pizzas at least 2 times a month all year round!
A locally owned business that sells tasty take and make pizza kits (crusts and toppings). My family and I love to buy different pre made crusts for a fun culinary experience. Assembling the pizzas at home is very easy. My toddler daughter especially loves the experience of making her own dinner, and she cleans her plate every time. They also sell some seasonal products, such as pesto which we’ve really enjoyed. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to try something new and delicious while supporting a locally owned business.
I began buying Tag Team pizzas at the Kensington Farmers Market and was thrilled to learn that this spring they opened a store front! My favorite is to get a kit (2 small crusts, sauce and cheese) and keep it in my freezer. When I want a pizza, I just pull it out a crust, heat up the oven, top with whatever I like, and voila! Absolutely delicious, much better than frozen prepackaged pizzas from the store, and I have the joy of supporting a locally-owned business who's mission I care about. Win/Win/Win!
