I recently tried the bento box at this restaurant and was impressed by the size - they are the largest I have ever seen. The lunch prices are very reasonable and there is a great selection to choose from. The service is quick and the tables are large and spacious, which is rare to find. I was disappointed to see that the water drop cakes are no longer on the menu.
The staff at this restaurant were very accommodating with the options available. My boyfriend and I ordered two lunch bento sets, one sushi and one teriyaki salmon. Both sets were filling yet light. I appreciated that I still felt healthy after eating a large portion. The interior was clean and modern, and I thought the prices were quite reasonable.
Excellent ramen broth, really hearty, flavoursome and warming. The Donkotsu in particular is worth the higher price. Chashu melts in the mouth and has great flavour, egg is well marinated and the yolk is always soft and slightly runny. Staff are very kind and helpful, service is very quick. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.
If you’re in the Mascot area and are in need of a ramen fix, you’ll definitely satisfy your cravings at Taisho. I’ve been here before for sushi and it was also good so I wasn’t surprised the ramen was just as tasty! Pork belly was deliciously tender. Will hopefully try the Japanese bbq next time! A simple restaurant that suits a casual dining experience. I had the Pork Gyoza as an entre followed by the Smoked Duck and an Asahi Beer to wash it all down. The staff were friendly the prices reasonable and I was very pleased with the food quality and portion size.
