With plenty of cafes to choose from in Totnes, we decided to give this place a try. Located at the top of the main street, it is definitely worth a visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the coffee was good. They offer a variety of light bites and smaller meals, but if you have a big appetite or are dining with a group, you may want to consider other options. I tried the samosa chat, which was tasty but left me still feeling hungry. My wife ordered the fennel salad from the light bites menu, and found it to be quite small, more suited for a supermodel than someone with a normal appetite. Last night, we had one of the most enjoyable and flavorful dinners we've had in a while. One thing I miss about Birmingham is the Indian cuisine, but thankfully @87highstreet.tamarindtree is now here to fill that void. The food was absolutely fantastic and has quickly become a favorite. If you're craving some delicious Indian dishes, this place is a must-visit!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. They offer a wide variety of vegetarian dishes, which is great. However, we were disappointed with the "daal" dish we ordered because it didn't have any lentils in it. Instead, it was more like a spiced vegetable tomato sauce with rice dumplings.

I absolutely love this place... The food is amazing in every visit and staff are super friendly and make you feel welcome. If your hungry and in the area when put this place at the top of your list

Beautifully cooked contemporary Indian food! The sharing plates are an absolute highlight for me. Lots of exciting flavours and perfect portion size!
