I went there after viewing a menu online for this restaurant only to find out that they no longer have that menu post covid. The prices were probably three times higher but they still have their specials online. The tasty looking tacos on the menu for pictures with a corn tortilla and they arrived instead with a flour tortilla. They were apparently out of corn tortillas. I've been here several times. Good cold beer and lots of choices. TV's tuned to many different sports. Service has usually been fair to good. The last experience wasn't so good: Bald guy behind bar waited on me, (beer and food), wiped the sweat off of his head with beverage napkins and never washed his hands after… then served my food! I much enjoyed my dinner at the Tap House. Our server, who was also the bartender, was personable and attentive considering the double duty. The Kobe Burger bowl was very nice, a thick nicely prepared burger on fresh greens with blue cheese and other extras. I was pleased with the flavor of the Devil's Catsup wings, but did not think they were particularly hot, so don't be leary about trying them. Maybe a little pricy for a grill menu, but everything was prepared well. Plenty of in lot parking.
We recently visited the tap house grill in St Charles. Regarding the food there was nothing to complain about but nothing stood out as really outstanding. The gambling machines were played by very inebriated people making the trip to the bathroom an adventure. I realize that all restaurants are desperate for money but the gambling machines seem to bring the place down. Music was loud and the the lightning was really dark. We had to use our cell phone flash light to read the menu.

Today, after our Granddaughter’s Aurora West graduation at NIU football field, we celebrated at Tap House Grill in St. Charles. We were amazed at the excellent food. Several had the Garlic Prime Rib dip, the rest had the delicious bowls. The mango salsa is delicious. Our waitress was very attentive. Our table for seven was ready when we arrived in a section away from the bar. It was like we had a private party room. Our family highly recommends Tap House Grill.
Update: Have over two years of experience here and it remains consistent with my original review. Have there been very minor bobbles, of course, but nothing that wasn't minor and rectified quickly. If you haven't visited try it. Went there for lunch good food very generous portions. Even though they were shot handed service was fine.
I just moved back into the area and thought I’d check out Tap House for a drink and some appetizers the other night. I enjoyed the atmosphere, food was good and great service. Patsy was so quick and witty! She definitely made my experience welcoming and even better. I will be coming back.
Decent bar with an excellent beer tap selection and good burgers. Usually a relaxed atmosphere.
