After arriving in Pontedeume and getting set up in our pension, we headed out for a drink. The Montadictos is one of those comfortable bars just across the street from the river where the weary pilgrim can relax with a beer and review the hiking day. As it was a bit rainy, we went inside where we enjoyed a couple of cervezas along with complimentary tapas. On a warmer, sunnier day, we certainly would have sat outside and enjoyed both the view as well as the passerby's. Since restaurants open late in Spain, this was a great bar to have a drink before setting off for a dinner of Galician seafood. Warm, comfortsble interior with a welcoming staff.
Difficult town to find anywhere for a pilgrim to eat. No vegetarian resturants either. This resturant located near the end of the bridge is small but a little different. Sit outside or inside. Its a pleasent place to relax. Which is what I liked about the resturant. Coffee was Ok. Came with a little biscuit. Nice touch.
Muy bonito. Llegamos a 15h15 y ponemos las raciones que pedimos sin problemas, considerando que cerraron a 15h30.... Buena calidad, croquetas surtidas, una especie de llenado de queso, grelos, etc. ricos. y una tortilla con ensalada para la chica. buenos precios.
Fantastic toast with anchois and cheese, also with chicken and aïoli Wonderful zambiriñas! pleasant service, good wine! I am happy eat here.
