We ordered a typical Spanish dish which is a potato omelette (tortilla española) which we have eaten all over Spain in many restaurants and tapas places. Six kids, plus two babies and 5 adults- so lots of drinks and possibly a big tab for this half- empty terraza (sidewalk cafe). The omelette was runny and raw inside- that is, raw eggs. I said in Spanish (which I speak very fluently because I am married to a Spaniard) that the omelette wasn't good, that it was really raw. The waitress took great offense, told the owner who came out in a rage (not to apologize as one might expect) but instead to lecture me that Spanish omelettes are always like that, that they are eaten like that always (fals...
