Ok... First I read the reviews to see how other felt... Companies to other Mexican restaurant and what I seeing is most people are used to big Mexican food chain taste but I have to say this is the closest to my grandmothers home cooking I have had since she past away!!! I have eaten at many Mexican food places from one side of wa to the other and many in between and I have to say I was pretty impressed!!! The beans were spot on rice was tasty I had 5 lengua (tongue) tacos my husband had 2 beef tacos and a pork tamale... Prices were better than el cazadors and it wasn't canned beans!!! The Tecalitlan truck is my favorite taco truck in the county. I'm glad I was finally able to make it to their taqueria. Both are owned by the family of one of my former students. <br/ <br/ The menu is basically the truck menu, plus a few items. I got a pork burrito. It was delicious, flavorful as always. The hot sauce was very hot. I feel like the truck often has shredded cabbage in the burritos, but I might be mistaken. In any case, just meat, beans, rice, and a few jalapeños in this burrito, and they do it right. <br/ <br/ Truck convenient to work, taqueria convenient to home--Tecalitlan has me covered.
Every time we come down to the States means getting our Mexican on. This time it was to try Taqueria Tecalitlan. They’re next door to Niener Niener Wiener. They also have a food truck that’s in the same area/neighbourhood. Hours. Note: closed Sundays. We dropped in on a Friday (around 11:00am) and were the first customers. Busy, popular spot with what seems like several regulars. The inside has room for about 32 people (6 tables and high chair seats to people). They were playing Spanish pop music on the TV’s.
I love this place! Small, quick, delicious, great price. Always done on time when i call in my orders for lunch. If you want good tacos, come get them.
