This is a great little restaurant attached to the hotel where I'm staying. It has nice outdoor seating near public access to the beach. It's always busy with a line of people waiting to place their order, but service is fast and tables always seem to be available. The tacos are great and unique, with a wide range of ingredients ranging from pork, shrimp, mahi, brisket, toasted grasshoppers, and beef tongue. They serve frozen margaritas that include passion fruit and hibiscus. They're good, I recommend the hibiscus, and they have a good kick to them. I only wish it was open later so I could enjoy a nightcap before going up to my room.
I am the proclamation of the Queen of Chips and Salsa and Taquiza hands down has the best chips and salsa I've ever had! It was thick? hard/crisp outside with soft/ chewing inside. Taquiza is connected to Broadmore Hotel, North Miami Beach. Beautiful outdoor seats with quick access to the beach. Will return to Totopos in the future!
They have really good food, drinks, great service, and expect to wait at least 25 minutes for your food. FYI the fresh hot food is well worth the wait! Cute little taco spot in North Miami Beach. Al pastor camaron tacos were good. Churros were just ok. Chapulines (Grasshopper) taco was more of an experience but was underwhelming flavor wise. Spicy hibiscus margaritas were good. Salsa was nice and spicy. Staff was super friendly. Great option for gluten free dining.
