Fan-tas-tic! I have favorite places, in my city, in other cities, but here in Braga I have found a new favorite place! The place is special, picturesque, old style, traditinal charming kind of Portuguese restaurant, the whole place is a bit closed, like a tasca but it breathes originality. The food!! Excelent, traditional, as it should be, no funny business, just good ingredients, carefull preparation and... Voilá! Excelent food! I had the duck rice and my colleague the cod fish Braga style, both very good, the deserts, again on the traditional side, won 't let you down. Sympathy is very much so on the high side and prices are reasonable, I don 't see any reason not to try out this amazing...
The Bacalhau à Braga was very simple, yet it was delicious and not as salty as you would expect cod-fish to be. The staff was very kind and, overall, the ambience was lovely, mostly people from the area, small wooden tables and stools. busy during lunchtime but still able to enjoy my lunch without the craziness of a busy restaurant. So happy to have tried this gem. Would totally come back and recommend this place!!
Very tasty and good service. The food is generally a bit on the saltier side, but otherwise very good. The place is small and fills up fast, so come early or have a reservation. Portions are very large!
