After placing our order over the phone, we waited in the parking lot since we weren’t familiar with the area. We watched other customers come in, place their orders, and receive their food. An hour later, we were still waiting. Twenty minutes after that, as employees were vacuuming and preparing to close, our food finally arrived. As for the food itself, it was what we expected from takeout—not as satisfying as dining in. My husband and I visited for dinner on a Thursday evening. He ordered the Garlic Parm Saucy Shrimp accompanied by mac and cheese, while I went for the BBQ Pulled Pork with mac and cheese and collard greens. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS! My husband was thrilled with the shrimp, and I must say that the mac and cheese is undeniably some of the best I’ve ever had! The BBQ pulled pork was tasty, but I felt it could have used a little more sauce. The service was wonderful; the staff was friendly and attentive. I'm not sure if it's because I'm from Philadelphia, but I had a shrimp and broccoli rice bowl that was just okay. The shrimp tasted basic, almost like it had been boiled in hot water. I also ordered a peach cobbler, but it was served cold and hard. After I microwaved it, it ended up watery. I initially thought this was a black-owned business based on the menu, but now I'm hoping that this isn't reflective of their usual food quality.
Wow, I'm a huge fan of crab cakes, and these were incredibly delicious! The mac and cheese was fantastic, and the yams? Absolutely out of this world! It's a shame they aren't closer to me, or else I would definitely be visiting several times a month!
