Severely disappointed as this was the top rated Indian on ubereats, the food arrived almost 20 minutes after the LATEST suggested delivery time, when I called to query it they firstly just said “she’ll be there in a minute” so I had to ask when she left because I doubt they have a tracker on the delivery drivers phone and are watching her every move, they advised 2 minutes prior (so definitely would not be with us in a minute) but that’s no biggy if the foods worth it…however, when the food arrived 15 minutes later it was beyond abysmal, we ordered a medium lamb Bhuna and a hot chicken Jalfrezi, both the curries looked and tasted EXACTLY the same, unbelievably bland and I could only describe...
Do not order from this restaurant through Uber, especially when they first open. Our three orders of chicken tikka masala had watery sauce and burnt, chewy chicken. The onion bhaji was rock hard, possibly reheated from the day before. The lamb biryani, normally a favorite of mine, was incredibly spicy to the point where even the devil himself would have cried. When I called the restaurant to complain, they dismissed my concerns and offered a free meal for my next order. I was unimpressed with their lack of accountability and customer service. I've ordered from here 4 times since moving to the area and I would never go anywhere else. The food is piping hot when it arrives and full of flavour and spices...im used to top Indians in London and this is simply the best in Bournemouth the price is fair and prawns cooked beautifully ...I cant recommend them enough !!!
Our regular takeaway was closed so thought we would try the top rated local indian on Just Eat. Ordered a medium Ceylon which was volcanic when it arrived so hate to think what hot would have been like. The Balti and garlic and peshwari naans were all lacking in any flavour and were just bland. Wont be using again. Book a table now
I am disappointed to say that this was the worst Indian food I have ever ordered. The vegetable curry was flavorless and heavy, likely due to the excessive amount of potatoes in it. The chips were undercooked and soggy. I can confidently say that I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.
We moved nearby in December last year and we probably have a weekly delivery. The service is superb no dodgy water based cheap chicken and melt in the mouth tender lamb. Taste is fantastic they chuck in free dishes I am a picky individual however no complaints so far
The food at Taste of Bengal is simply excellent and the prices are very affordable! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try Indian cuisine in the Bournemouth/Poole area.
