I went out with some friends and the ambience of the restaurant truly encompass Texas culture. The whole restaurant was embellished to resemble the Alamo, and you truly could feel it through every aspect within the restaurant. Which in certain aspects was a bit overwhelming. The highlight for me was definitely the cheddar cheese bread from the salad bar. It was absolutely delicious! The salad bar itself is well-stocked, but a little misleading since it seems like you only get one pass to fill your plate. I rate this restaurant five stars across the board. The ambiance strikes a beautiful balance between modern and old West styles. You can walk in without a reservation and relax in a comfortable waiting area. The wait was shorter than expected. At the counter, they provide a detailed explanation of the various cuts available, allowing you to choose exactly what you want. After placing your order, you’ll receive a tour of the kitchen facilities, and then you can help yourself to a diverse salad bar before settling down at your table to wait for your steak. Everything was simply delicious and plentiful.
I've heard of the great food here and it didn't disappoint what so ever, but the service was on point here for sure. Arely M did an amazing job making multiple visits to our table, great history on the restaurant and also letting us pick our steak My wife and I both started off with an Old Fanishon which was awesome, we then started our meal with a Baked Brie which I highly recommend. Our main course was 2 16oz ribeye with Mac and cheese and Brussel Sprouts. Thank you
I gave 5 stars because there was no 6 star option. I finally got to go with my daughters and my wife as a Father's Day gift. It's not just a meal, it's a wonderful Houston tradition and experience. I'm just saying I'm glad you're here.
