If you're going to promote hummus, then you should actually serve it. It was strange—almost as if they couldn't be bothered to make it, and hummus is such an easy dish to prepare. The pork shawarma was excessively salty and quite dry. When I requested a cup of ice, they informed me they didn't have any. I also asked if they had yogurt or a sauce to accompany the dry meat, and they replied that they only had a white sauce, which turned out to be ranch. It was an odd experience. Honestly, the only thing I enjoyed were the fries, which is disappointing since the main dishes should really be the highlight. Overall, the food was overpriced and far from impressive.
I ordered a shawarma platter with pork, rice, lettuce, tomato, and pita. While the meat was tasty, the portions were disappointing. There just wasn’t enough meat or rice on the plate. It’s hard to understand why they would skimp on something as inexpensive as rice. For $16 takeout, I still left feeling hungry.
Service was also a letdown. The staff had an unwelcoming attitude and seemed to ignore me when I walked in, making me feel out of place in their restaurant.
As for the atmosphere, it felt more like a deli than a dining experience. The decor is bland and forgettable—nothing stood out during my visit. Overall, I was not impressed.
For health reasons, I don’t want to be eating grains, carbs, breads, etc. 99% of the Shawarma locations in Glendale will not sell you just a plain side of meat chicken or beef. And if they do, they were going to charge me almost $20! This was the only place where I called him and he said no problem get over here right now and we’ll get it done for you. The portion itself was pretty hefty and I’m happy! Believe it or not they charged me only about 5 to 6 dollars just for the side Shawarma which is a steal! Thank you to the team working here will be back every single time I’m in Glendale
Best pork shawarma lavash I have ever tasted. Service was amazing, dudes were accommodating and super cool. Super cozy with home style cooking vibes. I highly highly Highly recommend the pork shawarma lavash.
