We live just 2 miles away from Tavern at WSF and have dined here five or six times. Our previous experiences have been excellent, making it one of my favorite local restaurants. Recently, I took my wife, brother, and sister-in-law out for a special dinner. Our server, Darleen, did a fantastic job. The wine and salad were both very enjoyable. However, my salmon was overcooked, and my sister-in-law's chicken was as well. On the other hand, my brother's ahi tuna was delicious. Was this just a one-time issue? I'm not sure. Perhaps the chef was having an off night. We plan to return, but will be more specific about how we want our meals prepared.
Lots of good but kind of an identity crisis of supper club, fine dining, smoking lounge, and coffee shop. Not sure what to make of the couches, pillows, and chairs draped with fake furs. Kind of an Octogenarians with adult children crowd. Which is maybe why some of the food is so salty. The sides and and soup seems the victim while the entrees are solid. Overall pleasant experience. I’d recommend reservations especially for early dining.
Had a great night out celebrating my husband's birthday. Met some interesting people at the bar who were very informative about the Hayward area. The gal tending bar made an excellent martini. We had sauteed Whitefish for dinner in their cozy dining room with a bottle of reasonably priced red wine. Some of the food could have been served hotter-our only complaint.
Food was great. Staff was friendly. Portion size left a little to be desired for the price. I recommend a reservation and if you're new you have to walk through the bar to the host stand. It not clearly laid out when entering and through bar was pretty full when we got there so we couldn't see that you had to go around to get to the dining area.

What a delightful dinner! The craft cocktails, appetizers, and main courses were all incredibly tasty! The staff was amazing, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Thank you for such a wonderful evening; we can't wait for our next visit to the Tavern at White Stag Farm!

We popped in for a drink and were greeted by Jenny and Peter, who were incredibly knowledgeable and provided excellent service! This is definitely a place you have to visit when you're up north. I can’t wait to come back for dinner as well!
The salmon had a strong fishy flavor. The corn sauce was thin, and the corn itself tasted old. The cake was dense and dry—everything seemed to be pre-made and not fresh at all!
