Taverna Zorbas has a good menu with many choices of beautiful Greek dishes. Saganaki was made very well, still nicely moist inside and cracking on the outside. Gyros was great, of course, not too overwhelmingly seasoned. Lambs were just perfect, well prepared, not...charred. The Zaziki was rather a Greek yogurt and could have been more liquid. Service was friendly and attentive. Catch only for interational guests: make sure that you have either an EC card (debit) or cash, they do not accept credit cards
I was here before, but forgot the name, not again I forgot, this place is really delicious, I cause the staff is also quite friendly, here I tried Greek food for the first time and thanks to them I love to wish every place...taste like taverna zorba, come back safely and I highly recommend the Poseidon plate (it served with rice, but if u can fries instead).
I love it. Probably the best Greek place in Amberg. Very authentic, tasteful meat, especially the traditionally grilled pork was excellent, tender and juicy. Saganaki with fantastic texture, great place to sit outside on the terrace. I'm here when I visit Amberg. You were there twice on this trip. Note that they do not accept a credit card!

We have tried many of their meals over the years. The souvlaki,gyros and fried calamari are always delicious. You are welcomed with ouzou, an anise flavored apperitif. The decor is very Greek inside but the outdoor garden with the enormous chestnut tree makes eating outside...very special. It is worth a visit.
