"We tried the traditional cheese fondue here. Was excellent! Next table we saw a family and the 2 kids having ratchet cheese and they looked like they were having fun and ate deliciously. If we have the chance will definitely opt for that."

We have tried several restaurants in the Jungfrau region, but probably Bernerhof has the best fondue and raclette in the region. Most restaurants do offer these Swiss dishes, but for most the raclette is a dish of already melted cheese with a few pickles and 4 potatoes. At the Berherho, they provide you with an electric raclette machine and a big chunk of cheese, allowing you to melt the cheese at your table, and scrape it on the plate, providing an authentic experience. With the raclette we also ordered a plate of sliced processed ham and bacon (for an additional €10 each plate), which made it really worth it. They also provided us with bread on request free of charge. It is a bit pricey bu...

We popped into this restaurant on a whim as we walked through the town of Wengen in the rain. The host, who may have been the owner, was a very nice man. We started our lunch with a hot bowl of the Goulash soup. It was excellent and warmed us up immediately. We then enjoyed the Rosti with Pork Sausage. It was not the best rosti, a bit too thick and not crunchy, but it was a good size portion. My husband and I likely should have shared one. This is a good place for a casual, local style meal. Fun if you can get a window seat.

We went here twice since it appealed to us so much we returned the second night. We had absolutely wonderful traditional Swiss cuisine with an excellent Hornli the first night and superb fondue the second. The staff accommodated us at an outside table despite being really busy and even relocated us to allow us to watch the sunset over Jungfrau. They do their absolute best despite being full almost the entire evening. Highly recommend.

The best raclette in town, possibly the region. Most restaurants will offer this swiss staple, but almost all will serve you a portion of melted cheese from under the grill, at the Bernerhof they offer a raclette machine allowing you to toast/melt you cheese at your table, increasing the experience and ensuring hot melty cheese to the last bite!
