What’s not to love about a Capital Region staple! The fish fries are consistently great. The fries are awesome especially if you love ketchup. They have really good clam rolls and they serve Pepsi! This particular location in Watervliet got a really nice upgrade. It was so welcome to see! And who doesn’t love the little wooden forks that come in your fries.
Just returned with my meal of fis no chips) and a side cole slaw. When I order price had increased a whole more then online menu price; I was told because they just raised it yesterday. The order was to go so I asked for an extra chille for the fish. Upon opening bag no extra chille and now they don’t even include a roll! Plus fish a bit too fried!??
The Western Ave site is our go-to… always a delicious meal, reasonably priced.. with impressive service. Orders taken by memory, management that offers praise for great work and jobs well-done, and never an unclean table. The lunch line is always long sign of a great business! Can’t wait to come back.

I bought two lunch specials and I did not like how they plastered tartar sauce on my fish without asking me. I assumed the tarter would have been on the side. Also the onion rings were too big. The lemonade was good, though.
I grew up in newtonville and going to Ted’s was a treat. I left NY in 1977 and live in CT, but I have driven 2&1/2 hours just to go to Ted’s and I’m glad that it’s the same as it was 50 years ago So good!!!
decent fish fry, delicious food, but much luck actually they get the food they have ordered. the personal here simply puts everything they want in a bag and sends it for delivery
I ordered two fish fries and one scallop roll. The fish was half the usual size and overcooked, while the scallop roll was smaller than expected and too salty to enjoy.
