I'm always impressed by the consistently delicious food whenever I order from Temple Garden. My top picks are the Wor Wor Wonton Soup, Chicken with Mixed Vegetables, and Szechuan Chicken. They always accommodate my special requests perfectly. I also appreciate how securely they package the food. Despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic, the quality of their dishes has stayed excellent. Thank you for consistently providing fantastic meals—you're my favorite restaurant!
At Temple Garden, the food might benefit from a bit more seasoning, but a splash of soy sauce does the trick perfectly. I actually prefer it this way, avoiding anything too heavily seasoned. The menu offers generous portion sizes that provide excellent value for the price. On top of that, the service was impressively fast—my meal arrived in just 10 minutes! I’ll definitely keep coming back to Temple Garden as long as they maintain these great portions and reasonable prices.
We also indulged in the most incredible Honey Glazed Pork Spare Ribs I’ve ever tasted! They were incredibly tender, with just the right amount of honey glaze to avoid being overly sweet, and topped with roasted garlic slivers. Their house fried rice was also fantastic, loaded with chicken, beef, pork, and more. The generous portions left us completely satisfied, with plenty of leftovers for a delicious lunch the following day. We can’t wait to return!
Temple Garden is the top Chinese restaurant in Citrus Heights. Every dish on their menu is prepared fresh to order. Unlike many other places that serve Walnut Shrimp in a thick batter, theirs is lightly coated, letting the large shrimp stand out. They use fresh vegetables, including whole mushrooms and zucchini, which are cooked to perfection every time. This restaurant absolutely deserves a five-star rating! Book a table now
We came here later in the evening with some friends and ordered family style for very reasonable prices. The honey walnut shrimp is delicious as well as the general tso’s chicken. The woman running the facility was really kind and attentive to our needs.We loved watching the cooking shows that we’re playing on the tv by our table. We will definitely be eating here again!
The Satay Beef Chow Fun was excessively salty, which masked all the other flavors. The noodles deviated from the traditional chow mein texture; they were oversized and overcooked. Although chow fun is supposed to feature wider noodles, these resembled small lasagna strips instead. However, the rice and Egg Flower Soup were outstanding.
Absolutely inedible! I ordered the Mixed Vegetables Egg Foo Young, and when it arrived, it was a sad heap of dried-out vegetables with what seemed like over-fried egg bits. The sauce was extremely salty, and I ended up discarding the entire dish. I will definitely never order from Temple Garden again—completely disappointing!
It was absolutely delicious. The Walnut prawns were insanely good. Fried shrimp was breaded perfectly. Kung Pao beef was on point. I placed an online order, and my meal was ready in less than 10 minutes, arriving even before I did. The orange chicken rice plate is fantastic, particularly when the orange sauce is mixed with the rice. The interior has been recently renovated and looks wonderful.
