We arrived without a booking & the restaurant was full - it is only small so we decided to order takeaway. we were told it would be 20 minutes until the 4 dinner boxes would be ready 40 minutes later we finally got our orderThe nigiri did not appear to be fresh & our children wouldnt eat it ( they love them normally ), the chicken terriyaki was ok but nothing to write home about & it cost $70.00I am dissapointed as when we have eaten in the food has been great but to not get the same quality with takeaway is a shame - I will try the new Thai restaurant next door
Ho preso uno dei menu giusto per avere un po' di tutto, ma quando è arrivato il pezzo forte, ossia il sushi, ne avevo nel piatto solo 3 pezzi! Sono rimasta delusissima. Poi mi hanno portato un altro piattino minuscolo di tempura, un bicchiere di zuppa e infine poco riso e poco pollo. Il cibo era buono ma per il prezzo del menu mi aspettavo di più.servizio quasi inesistente, nessuno che ti chiedeva come andava o se volevi altro.è ok aver provato questo ristorante ma non ti fa venire la voglia di ritornare.
I have been coming to Tenka for many years, and the current owners are doing great!I personally love the terriyaki salmon with rice as their terriyaki sauce is different to other japanese places ive been.It is good to come with friends, not a very romantic atmosphere at all, but a great casual and quick place to eat with great value, portion and price.Thanks Tenka, continue what you are doing and I will visit again very soon.
great tiny little place in st ives which is popular with the locals. Good sets of good, but maybe the meat dish is a bit small. My 8year old ate it and was still hungry and he is little!! But , food nice and fresh and service is swift. They kindly inform you if there is a dish that will take longer which is nice. Nice selection on the menu. I think the servings could be a bit more generous.

Food is delicious, prices are reasonable and service is quick. Menu is limited however it is a small place so can't expect a huge variety. My husband and i order mainly the same dishes when we go and its always great!! Great for a good feed on the run.
We tend to go here about once a month and have a set menu item, that is brought out course by course at our request.The food is freshly cooked, presented hot and is always tasty. Add to that a pleasant attitude of owners and staff.BYO too.
Great little place. Easy to park The lady owner is so friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you. Explain what you want slowly. English is not the first or second language here. Good food. Good value
Always packed , but its worth it as the food is always brilliant. As good if not better than eating in Tokyo. Agadashi and Set E is the go. Miso is very good as well. Well worth a few visits

Handmade Japanese food and sushi. Just refurbished and looking great. Kids love the set menu and sushi rolls, and there's plenty for adults. Very friendly service and always on time.
Great sushi at reasonable price! Best healthy takeaway in an otherwise unremarkable shopping centre.
