Teriyaki Express - Table reservation

I used to give this restaurant a great review because I used to eat here often. However, I got takeout with a coworker yesterday and the tempura chicken I ordered seemed slimy inside. I kept poking it, thinking it was undercooked. After eating it, I spoke to my coworker who had thrown out his chicken teriyaki because it tasted unwashed. The chicken seemed to have gone bad and was not rinsed properly. It was the only thing I ate that day, as I usually only eat one meal a day. I woke up in the middle of the night with terrible food poisoning. I never get sick, so it was surprising that I had such a severe reaction. While driving by, I suddenly had a craving for California Rolls, so I decided to place an order. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand the owner when I called. I ended up going into Terriyaki Express to order, but when I requested California Rolls, the owner informed me that I needed to spend more than $6.95. Feeling taken aback, I decided not to give my business to this establishment as every dollar counts for business owners recovering from the pandemic. The owner was unfriendly, rude, and uninterested in keeping their business afloat. I regret having to rate this business at all, as it is truly not deserving of even a single star.

Consistently great for many years, have been coming here for at least a decade. I love the chicken teriyaki so much and the sushi rolls are always good.
