Visited the medieval city of Pals, just gorgeous. After walking the town, stopped for coffee and drinks about 11.30am. Were the first customers and sat in the delightful outdoor courtyard, with lovely rose blooms on the bushes, bougainvillea, shade, what more could you ask. In Spain, clean toilets. These were the cleanest we have found in 3 weeks in Europe, a credit to the management. The tables had real wedges to keep stable, never seen this before, have seen plenty of folded over paper coasters or napkins, never proper wedges. Ordered a serve of calimari with our coffees, brandy and sangria. Excellent, great table service, we were treated like they really wanted us there. Multi lingual men...
