For the 4th time my wife and I ate lunch at this restaurant while visiting Montreal. I am partial to the summer gaspacho and the incredible burgers although 3 times i chose salad topped with fish. All the food we ate was fresh, flavourful and the staff is exceptionally knowledgeable, police and helpful, in English and in French. I was impressed that a different wait staff than the one serving our table took the time to clear our plate and to pour our water without our even asking. The rooftop view is very unique and on a warm day its the perfect place to overlook a good part of Old Montreal while enjoying a delicious meal and a cold drink. By the eway - the bread is amazing!
The view is very nice however we were not impressed with the caesar salad which we all ordered. It had barely any dressing. When we asked the waiter for some he said that it wasn't the white dressing we would expect and an explanation of why their dressing is different (if that's the case, then don't call it a caesar salad). So we asked for something on the lettuce. He dropped off something and told us that we would normally have to pay for it but it was "free for today".
It was a breezy cool night the rooftop offered little shield from the breeze and the view was okay. Mostly views of windows from other buildings. We ate early but realized if we'd gone later we would have seen the anniversary city special happening on the waterfront. OH well. It was noisy and busy the staff was good and efficient but it took forever to get the check. The food was nothing special but it was good.
the sun terrace, terrible service, 30 minutes to see a waitress, exorbitant price, 1 star service with an ox air. during a beautiful sunny day, lack of blatant staff. take experience on the terrace of the william gray.

This restaurant has amazing food. The bison tartare is to die for! We tried various appetizers and a few entrees but that one stood out in my mind. The view is beautiful as well.
The food is good and is accompanied nicely with a fantastic rooftop view of Montreal which gets busy very quickly. However, the slow service and the loud music let them down.
Great sélection of drinks ans cocktails. The staff is very nice and always happy to help.loved the music .great place for a happy hour and the melon salad is delicious

Nice rooftop terrace for drinks and or food. Gets pretty busy in nice weather but it's a nice central location in Old Montreal
