Let’s talk about the atmosphere. Upon entering the building, you'll take the elevator up to the 8th floor, where you're greeted by an Instagram-worthy photo area. They’ve created a picturesque spot for you to capture shots of the city, and I must say, the photos come out stunning, especially at night with the illuminated skyline. After snapping some pictures, you’ll ascend a staircase to the actual dining area. Here, you’ll be surrounded by charming little lamps overhead that create a bright and romantic ambiance, making it an ideal venue for date nights or a fun girls' night out. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, helping us navigate the menu and choose our drinks. For our st...

I will always recommend Place D'Armes to people coming to visit Montréal. It's in the heart of the city; Old Montréal, with all it's charm and cobble-stone streets. The hotel service is everything you want out of a fancy hotel and more. Starting with the valet service that comes and helps you with your bags, to the front desk, to the cleanliness of the hotel, to the amazing restaurants. The rooms have a charm to them that is reminiscent of being in a hotel in Europe.I booked a basic Queen room for my wedding night for 2 nights, not telling the hotel that I was staying with my new husband. When they saw me check-in makeup done, with my dress over my shoulder, and bridesmaids beside me, they up...
We stayed in a standard queen room, which was not particularly spacious but furnished with two nightstands, a large desk, and a wardrobe. There was a chair and a table that we utilized as luggage stands. The bathroom was reasonably sized, and while there wasn't much shelf space around the pedestal sink, several wall-mounted shelves provided sufficient storage. The shower was roomy. However, the lighting in the bathroom was quite dim, and a shaving mirror would have been a nice addition. Breakfast is served from a menu rather than as a buffet, resulting in limited choices. Unfortunately, it took quite a while for our food to arrive, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. I also found it...
Wow, what a disappointment this place was. Upon entering our room, the smoke smell instantly made us sick. The decor was old and outdated. They shut off the water the next day for a few hours. The toilet plugged up and it took 40 minute to delivery a plunger. It's a bunch of old office buildings put together to make a hotel. Looks cute in photos, not so much in real life. They won't let us have late check out although we were leaving Monday and they had those same rooms available through Expedia. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, a 3 at best. But for $600 a night, even with the bigger space, you're better off staying at a well known brand name hotel that's smaller. The location was the only... Book a table now
I visited before the weather turned chilly, allowing me to take in the beautiful rooftop view. The food was outstanding—the steak had a lovely smoky aroma and was cooked to a perfect medium-well, just as I requested. Although it took a little while for our dishes to arrive, I suspect the kitchen is located downstairs. The calamari made for a fantastic appetizer, and the alcoholic "horchata" drink was both strong and delicious; I'm not typically a dessert person, but the crème brûlée was so delightful that we happily shared it.
Excellent hotel and great customer service! Very clean, nice and helpful personnel. Nice lobby with the pool table and fireplace which my kids enjoyed a lot. Great location in Old Montreal. Professional and helpful concierge who helped us book a rental car to go back home to US due to our car was damaged in public garage while someone was trying to stole our car. Lesson learned do not park in a public garage even with 24/7 security. Pay some extra money and use hotel's valley parking which is more secure.
This restaurant is excellent. The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. While we didn't explore the entire food menu, the drinks were outstanding. The clear sangria was particularly impressive, alongside several other beverages. The oysters were fresh and delicious, though I found the calamari a bit too heavily breaded for my taste, but it was still good overall. I highly recommend this place for its gorgeous views, attentive service, and fantastic cocktails.
Best location. You’ll have short walking access to old port. Best service, they clean your room twice a day and their staff are super friendly and helpful. Their Spa had a 24 hour cancellation policy but we overslept and tried to cancel 22 hours before the appointment and they wanted to do only a 50% refund, so we talked with the Hotel reception and they took care of it. We spent 7 nights there in August 2023 and will definitely recommend this place. Book a table now
Beautiful room and included breakfast was frankly one of the best meals we had around! We did have some issues with A/C and thermostat that was initially not dealt with wonderfully by the weekend manager, although follow up discussion with Renaud, the front desk director, was excellent, we were even given voucher for another stay there which I'm looking forward to.
