Before I start. We dine out at least 3x per week at 4-5 star restaurants so this is not a “these people never eat out and had too high of expectations review”. To demonstrate, we ate out at a Michelin restaurant in Amsterdam last night...which we will review and give a 5 star rating to shortly. So... what went wrong this evening. The food was actually pretty good. The three of us ordered: 1) Scallops and Risotto with truffles. Perfectly prepared. Excellent taste and different notes of flavors. 2) 3 course again the food was very good 3) 7 course 4 of the courses were very good. Two of the courses used the same sauce. All of the courses had the same shaved truffle which became very monotonous...
the idea of a truffle theme is a great one, and it caught my attention. the pictures of the interior of the restaurant were also interesting for me, so we booked for an evening. the interieur is in the did quite beautiful and we had a...lovely window table. eating was not bad, but as someone says in another evaluation, they can not only throw truffles on the food that it needs more subtle treatment than that. my starter of the kartoffel with a creamy truffle sauce was €26, just €1 less than my essential main side of the lamb! We went with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. We were all able to order from different menus, and the waiter didn't make a single mistake when it came to delivering the food to people. Our group was a mix of some who...speak French and some who don't, and there was no language issue at all. Highly recommend this place!
we returned here after 4 years, the food service was very good. five of us all had food they enjoyed very much. beautiful simple weinlist also to make reasonable trips. we started around 645 clock closed the restaurant
