The appetizers were EXCELLENT !!!!!!!!!! ( Brie Brulee unbelievably delicious!!!!!!!!!) The beet salad and garden salad was refreshingly cold,crisp, very tasty and a superb bite.The entrees? Not so much: Crab and shrimp pasta had succulent shrimp but the homemade rigatoni were NOT cooked..like eating raw dough. The Taziki sauce was UNDER everything on the Gyro Platte, and difficult to access in order to spread on the pita/meat/greens combo, and the meat was soft and crumbly, almost like poorly mixed meatloaf. As for the food, I rated it a 3 as well. The fries were cold and the wings seemed rushed, as if the sauce was added at the last minute. We tried the new Salmon dish, which had good flavor but was lacking in portion size considering the price. The salmon was small, comparable to two chicken wings, and the broccoli was undercooked, tasting as though it had only been rinsed with warm water.
Six of us went for a light dinner after a show. We shared appetizers, all of which were super! My brother had a salad (arugula, red and yellow beets, pistachios and creme fraiche) which he declared the best he'd ever eaten. Very pleasant, welcoming and helpful staff. The only thing missing was a glass of wine and a few beers... it's BYO, which we didn't realize.
The service at TGIF in Valley Stream was terrible. I couldn't stand how they greeted you there. They would say "welcome to Friday's" without even looking at you, just staring at their phone and texting as if you weren't even there.
