My husband and I love going to Chiangrai for a dine in meal. It's not just takeaway food. The staff there are nice and the food is great! It's BYO which makes it a nice choice when you don't want to spend a lot of money. If you want to go after 7pm on a Friday, best to make a reservation. My favorite is the roast duck and my husband always gets a curry or the pork with cashews. If you're in the Norman park area it's a quick walk and there is a reasonable amount of on-street parking if you need to drive there. Prices are very reasonable.
We enjoyed a special menu and complimentary delivery service during the COVID-19 pandemic. The salad was fresh and flavorful, though slightly salty. The steamed barramundi was delicious, served with a variety of fresh greens and three different sauces. We finished our meal with a delightful grilled sticky rice and sweet taro. We have eaten here twice in the last 6 weeks, each time have enjoyed the food. On my second visit I had the Yum Chicken. It was a generous serve, and all the salad looked and tasted very fresh. The couple with us on our first visit were most happy with their meals. There are many meals under $19 and they all seem good value. Its a good place to go for an hour or so for quality Thai food.
Been there 3 times over the past 3 years, the most recent a week ago. Each time the food was very tasty with a generous quantity of food for a very reasonable price. The spicy sauce, however, was so mild it wasn't spicy at all. Other than that would recommend this place for a casual meal. Nice atmosphere as well.

The quality of the food can be a bit mixed; amazing at times and underwhelming at others. On average though, it pretty good Thai food and very good value for money. Service is also very fast. The staff are always very pleasant too!!
The curries at this restaurant are amazing. I wouldn't choose to order from anywhere else. I especially love the Penang and red curries. The prices are very reasonable as well. The children really enjoy the vegetarian curry puffs.
We had delicious take away Thai from here. The red chicken curry and chilli and basil chicken stir fry were delicious. I look forward to dining in as the take away was yummy!
