We stayed for the second time at Hotel Thalfried for dinner and can recommend it again and again. Whether outdoors or inside in the restaurant, it is worth it. The restaurant is very nicely covered and the service really still corresponds to the old school. Perfect advice, discreetly question and serve as it belongs. This time, we decided to run cattle with red cabbage and Thüringer Klößen and Steak. Everything's perfect. Portions sufficient and taste nothing after finished goods. A perfect evening. Since many hotel guests were for dinner during the last visit, the hotel rooms also seem very appealing.
The offer in the wellness area itself was beautiful and pure relaxation...ABER the food has been waiting for you. The cook (the 2 cooks) were definitely overwhelmed with the 10 guests. The waitress himself was not guilty, she tried to make the best of the situation. But unfortunately not really succeeded. The food was high quality and tasty, but you should plan at least 3 hours for 5 courses PLUS in addition its time in the bathroom. If you book from 5 pm you shouldn't do anything for the evening. Recommendation is given, but not for us anymore.
