We just at here and I had to review immediately. GREAT food! Nice service. Clean. To die for chili oil. Hubby and I decided to eat here since we had a craving for asian food. We settled on Vietnamese and found this little place on tripadvisor. ITS SO GOOD! Cant wait to go back. Authentic food. Vietnamese owners. We ordered the spring roll and tofu vermicelli, beef and spring roll vermicelli and deep fried quail for me to start. The quail was succulent and juicy with a sode of pickled daikon and carrots. I trust my daughter as she likes Asian food. She visited me for a while and found she had 2 hours before her friend was coming to RD. We tried this restaurant on the spur of the moment and were not disappointed. Jenn said it was probably one of the best she has had.The place is spotless with no odours or incense. My daughter had a Shrimp Stir Fry while I had a Chicken Rce Bowl. We then followed these up with Spring Rolls as the Asians at the next table were commenting how good they were.I found it reasonably priced with decent portions so we both left full and had a bill of about $40 including drinks, GST and tip.We noticed a lot of people taking food out. We needed a warm-up meal at the beginning of the current cold weather snap. My wife and I decided to give Thap Ba a try as we have seen the restaurant but had yet to try it out. The salad rolls were very tasty and not jam packed with noodles as they are in other places. The peanut sauce for dipping them was VERY tasty. We both had the Special Noodle soup and enjoyed it immensely. The taste was fantastic and the ingredients wholesomely delicious. We will return to Thap Ba.
This is our favorite place for Vietnamese Subs. Veggies are always crisp and fresh.Service is fast and friendly.There is a beautiful shrine as you enter the door to the restaurant to bless all who enter and they do burn incense as is tradition. This is located between the doors not inside the restaurant it'self. I recommend this restaurant for sure. Book a table now
Thap Ba has delicious food at very reasonable prices. I have never been disappointed the many times I have eaten there. Good service, decor is adequate. The only thing I would change is I'd prefer they serve your pop in a glass instead of giving you the can with a straw. Still a great restaurant!
The food has been consistently good there. The place itself isn't very nice but we mostly get take out. There's an annoying kid running around usually so we choose not to eat there very often. We go back for the good food & good prices.
I have tried 3 times to visit this place for lunch, and every time they have been closed. Once during construction on part of the building, once for no apparent reason, and now because they have Tuesdays off. I'm done.
My boyfriend and I really wanted to try it here, but when you first walk in the incense is intense, then the smell of bo when we walked in the restaurant was so overwhelming we just couldn't stay... Wowzers Book a table now
