Overall, the atmosphere at The Abbey Tavern is very pleasant, homey even. My wife and I went recently as a just because date night and found the food very much to our liking, and the service was incredible.We started our meal off with the pretzel bites that were out of this world.I got the Shepherd 's Pie, and my wife had the Ruben (not pictured). The pie was pretty amazing! The texture of the mashed potatoes blended very well with the meat gravy filling. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they carried Guinness 0 (non alcoholic) as it is one of the only non-alcoholic beers that actually tastes like beer. We stopped by after the Pride 5K with some friends after their recommendation. We had the brunch menu and it was all really good. My daughter loved the kids menu and the atmosphere was typical for a pub type place. Would come back during the evening for some drinks and more food!
Awesome theming, good food, and friendly service. Corned beef Egg Rolls were great. I thought the yellow mustard was an odd choice until I tried it and it's great. Would definitely come again.
