Visited Saturday 27/04/2024 around 6:30pm. The restaurant wasn’t too busy so we had a choice of tables. We were a group of 4 and this wasn’t our first visit, returning again after such great meals on previous visits. Tonight our group tried the special board rabbit dish (x2), chicken in mustard sauce, and belly pork. 3 of us had a glass of wine and 1 had a beer. As usual, greeted, seated and ordered promptly. Staff were lovely. Food arrived hot and tasted awesome as we expected after having visited before, consistently good food and service. Love this restaurant. 3rd time here and as previously our food was amazing. 4 different mains each one cooked beautifully. Cheeseboard was superb. We had duck, lamb,salmon and belly pork. Stunning food, wonderful service and had a good chat with the chef afterwards. Anyone visiting Tewksbury should definately try this wonderful little restaurant. Will definately be going back. Thank you for such a lovely evening
We really enjoyed this meal. It was good, honest, uncomplicated cooking with delicious flavours and friendly service in a cosy and warm environment in this intimate and historic setting. We stayed almost next door at the Hop Pole and it was less than a minute's walk. The warm fire was very welcoming and appreciated on a cold dank night. Thank you for a lovely evening and a delicious meal.
Food was at best average but vastly overpriced. We expected a great steak at over £32 but we received standard supermarket vacuum packed fare it seemed. Prawn starter was meager and from frozen. At £50 a head incl wine, it was a disappointing experience. Would not reccomend.

We decided to go for supper at The Abbots Table on Wednesday evening. They have a steak evening where I believe the steak is reduced in price. We asked for two sirloin steak med raw. They came back to us saying they only had one...
Sunday Roast was excellent. Service was friendly professional. Top tip get there early so you don’t have to sit by the front door or the ‘washroom’ door. A lovely experience all round.
Family Sunday lunch, party of nine. Very good selection of food, good sized portions and very tasty! Nice friendly staff who were helpful and considerate. Will definitely return
Cosy, clean surroundings with Sunday lunch to really get excited about: beautifully cooked lamb, veg and trimmings. Service was perfect: friendly, helpful and prompt.
