We went to The Acton Park for Sunday lunch, and I 'm sorry to say, honestly, it was terrible. We used the app to order and had trouble bringing up the loyalty code as the app was unresponsive, as such I asked the barmaid if she could add our loyalty points retrospectively. She said, 'I don 't know, mate, I 've only been here a week. ' Not a great start. We had nachos to share as a starter, which were pretty average. The roast turkey dinner though was a letdown. The turkey portion was tiny, I literally had a few chunks while my girlfriend had two small slices of meat. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were hard and dry, I suspect they were frozen, and the carrots had a really weird tas...
Bit disappointed with our visit today. Lengthy wait at the bar, staff don't acknowledge you when dealing with others (which is basic customer service), seem a bit understaffed but none of the staff move with any urgency, just going through the motions. The app didn't work properly, trying to modify the meal options such as swapping crisps for chips didn't work, then it said one of the dishes was out of stock, so another lengthy wait at the bar to order food. Relieved I mentioned about the out of stock item as I was told actually they did have it in stock after all. excellent pub on one of the main roads in wrexham with a parking space on the back. expect a warm welcome with the real fire in winter and outdoor seating for the warmer summer evenings, they sell a wide range of hot and cold drinks and have a good choice in real ales that are well kept. there is an app to order drinks that also offers rewards when they often visit. good quality eating from brunch at the weekend to lunch and dinner during the week. the personal is very friendly and efficient, there is always a smile (also behind the mask) this place is worth a visit if it is in the opposite.
Have not been to the Acton in many years.. but will most certainly be going back.. staff were so friendly helpful.. from bar to waiting on all were amazing nothing too much trouble.. lovely place to meet up with friends.. Went for Sunday lunch ,best I've had in long time .food was delicious, couldn't fault it . Service, friendly and efficient
