What a lovely and welcoming little pub! The food is simply delicious, especially the lasagna! The Sunday roast is also fantastic. Teresa and Rick go out of their way to make everyone feel at home, and the pub is kept spotlessly clean. It's highly recommended for small family gatherings, birthdays, and special occasions. We had a birthday dinner there on June 13, 2018, for 15 people, and everyone enjoyed their meal with a variety of options from the menu. Plus, it's conveniently located across from the Severn Theatre, making it the perfect spot for pre-show and intermission drinks—often at a great price too!
This is a charming, friendly pub located right across from the theater, making it a convenient spot for a meal before or after a performance. Just be sure to allow plenty of time if you plan to eat beforehand, as it can get quite busy. Since all the food is homemade and freshly prepared, you might experience a bit of a wait, but it’s definitely worth it. I enjoyed the homemade fish cake with spinach, which was absolutely delicious. Next time, we might try sharing a starter, as we heard they were really good!
Amazing for kids and a family meal, staff can't do enough to help, crayons, books and the kids meals are gorgeous. For £5.95 they get a lovely little bag with puzzles/drawings on, a box of homemade!!! Fish gougons/nuggets Chips, Ribena and an oreo cecream sandwich. Relaxing and stress free. The Friday night Mexican buffet is fab too! All homemade and very reasonably priced. : Highly recommend.
Four of us had a meal before seeing The Hollies, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. The steak and ale pie was the best I've ever had. The staff was really friendly, and I highly recommend this place.

Have been to the Anchor a few times prior to and after going to the theatre. Lovely atmosphere friendly staff, not eaten there but food looks fab and intend on trying it on my next visit
Popped in last minute to have a meal before going to the theatre. Had chicken in creamy garlic was lovely. Would definitely eat here again. Staff friendly.
Fantastic meal here tonight home cooked food was excellent, fantastic service and wonderful family friendly atmosphere! Highly recommend!!
