Excellent few pints enjoyed with some lovely food from a sensible menu and prices, sitting outside in the shade, people watching, and for a Brucie bonus, reminiscing with the lovely warm landlady back to the 1960's. And in case you're wondering, the pub opposite, Ye Olde Pump House, in this narrow lane, ex road, although looking like it belongs in medieval times, was reconstructed from a dilapidated building and only opened to trade as a pub in 1956.
really can't blame a single thing. I went to a busy Sunday service, who was hungry as a horse, and went the length of hastings without having a veggie roast. welcomes, accommodated and fed with a star service. so it should be, and eating was glorious enough to satisfy. happy news of the day!
I'd cry if I couldn't come here for dinner, beer and a good chat and laugh. Such amazing food and drink, excellent service, friendly staff. Always made to feel so welcome, everytime I come back. Thankyou for being so welcoming! Wonderful place...
