Stopped here after a long drive back from the coast and what a wonderful gem. The most welcoming staff that were efficient and very friendly which made us relieve any stress from our drive. We ordered the pork belly and the roast salmon which were...amazing so also tried the desserts which again were top notch . The atmosphere was relaxed and we will most certainly be making another visit . We live a good 35 minute drive away but we'll worth it to come back . Highly recommend for anyone, couples, families and even your pet dog . Well done The Angel .
It is over 3 years since we have eaten at the Angel and what a joy this experience was. My wife and I visited for lunch and could not have experienced a more pleasant and enjoyable occasion. It appears to have had a complete facelift...and decoration recently having been taken over by new owners, and the decor and layout is excellent. A warm welcome with courteous and attentive staff. The food was excellent all individually prepared and well presented no feeling of rush and overall a most memorable visit.
We recently visited this restaurant to see if they could accommodate a vegan meal for lunch, and we were pleased to find that it was not an issue at all. Four of us enjoyed excellent meals, including a vegan starter, main course, and dessert (coconut panna cotta). The staff was very attentive and considerate of our needs, making for a cozy dining experience. While the menu was not extensive, it was practical and catered to most people's preferences. We definitely plan to return in the near future.
Been refurbished recently. Thought we’d give a local pub a go! Went for Sunday lunch. Daytime tv shopping channel on in the bar area, poor bar service barman didn’t know what Aperol was. Lunch tables with tacky plastic flowers. Never even asked if wanted a...wine list. Starter was bought and pretty poor. Roast was inedible; cold, overcooked as was veg , thick chewy slices. We left. The management was surprised and completely confident all was fine! Not going there again ever!

My first visit to this charming pub was a delightful experience! Despite arriving late for lunch, I received a warm welcome. The place was bustling on a Monday evening, but the lovely garden provided a perfect spot to enjoy my meal. The owner personally served me a delicious Caesar salad, and I had the best, lightest fish and chips I've ever tasted—truly divine! We're definitely planning to return often.
eat very average. the people on the table next to us are all completely disappointed. it seems to be a popular pub, and the service was good. they need a lupe to see the set on the menu, “discreet 10% congratulate added. all invoices”! we are all very happy to cook, so we know how easy it is to make a good quality meal. we give him another time to christmas.
My husband I stopped for lunch with our dogs at The Angel Inn on our way to the New Forest. We were all given a warm welcome by the staff the food was delightful. We enjoyed it so much that we stopped again...on our return 4 days later!
Sunday here has quickly become a favorite of ours, and we are back once again! The food is perfectly cooked, the portions are generous, and the aromas are delightful. The service is friendly and welcoming as well!

We (a group of us) have just had a most delicious lunch at the Angel. Very good food, good service and all in all a very nice time. We all had something different and each one of us were happy with our choice.
Highly recommend a visit limited menu but everything was superb. Vegan options available. Friendly staff and quiet rural location made for a lovely family lunch.
