The service was abysmal. When we initially ordered our drinks it took ages to arrive. At the end, the desserts came almost an hour late I initially followed up politely with the manager and she was so rude, I received the worst response from her. She didn’t follow up as I had to ask a 2nd time to another waiter. I am so shocked with the price of it all I ordered 2 Coca Colas and 2 three course meals and it totalled almost £100!!! How can that be when it said on the set menu it’s £32 each? The food was so bog standard and not worth the money. They ripped me off and provided shocking service. DO NOT GO HERE! We used to be regulars at The Arkley and always enjoyed our visits, but recently things have been a bit disappointing. There seems to be a lack of staff, resulting in long wait times for service, drinks, and food. The restaurant cleanliness has noticeably decreased, as we have noticed dead flowers on all tables during every visit. The manager appears to be overlooking attention to detail. The toilets are not clean, with a strong smell that can be detected from the stairs leading up to them. The friendly welcome we used to receive upon arrival is no longer present. Despite these issues, the food is still good and the prices are fair. We will return in hopes that improvements will be made.
We have been here for lunch a few times and very impressed with the service, sometimes the place was so busy but the waiters never stopped smiling and nothing was too much trouble A young chap called James was very helpful and so was the assistant manager who were taking photos for us. They were rushed off their feet yet always service with a smile The food was tasty, at a good price, the seatings were comfortable. All in all extremely pleasant lunch. Nothing to complain about
We had a reservation for 4:00 pm but it took 25 minutes for us to receive our drinks. Our starters, chewy squid pate, took another 30 minutes to arrive and seemed to have been cooked all day. The service was poor and when we tried to address the issue with the chewy squid, the waitress was unresponsive. If you have time to spare and don't mind dry food, you can try The Arkley. Otherwise, it's best not to waste your Sunday there.

Thank you to Mat Olivia who went up above to fit a family of 6 into an already packed restaurant as we didn’t book beforehand. Food service absolutely fantastic. I really recommend in every way definitely going back. Thanks again you made our family get together a fabulous day.
Visited on a Sunday, early evening. Good food, good wine, we asked to try two before making our decision on which to order. Had a variety of food between us, including the duo of beef which was perfectly cooked. Love the ambience of The Arkley. Service was good too.
The pub was lovely, but unfortunately our experience was dampened by a very rude barmaid when we met friends for drinks after a long week at work on a Friday night. It was not the end to the week that we had hoped for.
Terrible staff attitude, rude and unhelpful General Manager I will certainly never come back. Food adequate but just an appalling place. Chief Supervisor seems very pleasant he needs to choose politer staff

We thought our meals were very good. Definitely above pub grub standard and very tasty. Service was attentive and efficient. We will certainly return and recommend this place to our friends.
Having not visited this venue for many years, my wife and I were very impressed with the decor and ambience. Lunch was excellent and the service very friendly and professional.
