The service was absolutely exceptional. They were extremely attentive, but not overly so. Their timing was perfect and they demonstrated that they cared a lot about our experience. They were especially attentive to food allergies in our party and I would say went above and beyond to accommodate and ensure that we were well taken care of. The food was good, we really enjoyed our meal and dessert. I would say that the food was above average for the fine dining that we have experienced in Ireland, but was not anything that I will be raving about for any period of time. Satisfying and tasty. Our servers were very nice and polite, however the wait time for drinks and food was quite a while. We arrived at 2030, and didn't leave for two hours. I ordered the roast beef with mashed potatoes, and when the food arrived, the meat was dry, and the potatoes were lukewarm at best. Frankly, the microwavable roast beef we can buy at grocery stores in the US is better than what I had here. My mother's fish was dry, my father's chicken was dry, and my brothers lamb was dry and overcooked for his taste. If this is a Michelin starred restaurant, then I don't want to eat at another. The service was slooooowww. The food was mediocre at best. My chicken was dry. My wife's trout was dry. My daughter's beef tasted like the microwaveable roast beef we get at the grocery in the states. My son's lamb was tepid. Not worth the time nor the money. I wish I had gone for fish n chips.
Food was good , we were really the only ones around at 730 on a Friday night it felt like the staff kind of forgot about us and I had to go get someone to get my bill after sitting a while with empty glasses. I’m staying at the hotel and thought I would try it out ; but with so many options so close by here ; the service needs to be a bit better .
