I have been going to The Bakers for many years and even had my husband's 50th birthday meal there a few years ago with family. I have always enjoyed the delicious food and great service at this restaurant. However, I was disappointed with today's Sunday lunch. We had to move tables due to a cold draught, there wasn't enough choice of Rose wine on the menu, and the starters were average. The main course, cauliflower and broccoli cheese, was a letdown as it consisted only of hard cauliflower without any cheese. The potatoes were bland, the gravy was watery, and the temperature of the food was only warm. The dessert, crumble, was tasty but the custard was barely warm. Overall, I was quite disap...

Fabulous pub. Not over fussed about the Sky Sports in here tho ' its out of character for this olde worlde pub, but its popular and drags 'em in.
