we visited the barley mow for the first time in many years today for lunch. we live in the local antidote and have heard great reviews, so we thought we would try it for the birthday of my father. we had such a nice experience! the food was delicious really good portions! , the staff is very friendly and welcoming and we had a great afternoon. there were 4 adults and 2 small children and we all loved it. they have a great children's menu with good variety that is always great when they eat with little ones! it was specially made since the waiter had noticed that it was my father's birthday and they bought my father a free drink and a huge piece of cake with a radio that made it extra special...
We stayed at an Airbnb, walking distance from the Barley. It became our go to for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!! We were so well looked after by all the staff who were friendly and helpful. Their food is terrific, definitely a cut about your standard pub chow and very reasonably priced. They have an awesome garden and outside seating area with plenty of room for larger parties. Thank you to everyone there who made our trip that much more enjoyable.
After we have heard about this place for years, but never were disturbing, we ended up at this weekend, by chance, when it was the next pub to our walk. I wish we were here earlier. the food was fantastic (the best roast beef I ever had when I went out to lunch and how many pubs have their own bakery!? , the personal was beautiful, the atmosphere and the decor were good and it is absolutely a place we will come back to. highly recommended.
Eat is well cooked. I recommend the vegan burger. friendly staff and fast service. beautiful outdoor seating. the garden on the back offers only at this time drinks and snacks. beautiful decor.
