First off, the atmosphere at THE BARN was amazing...warm, cozy, clean, perfectly lighted, quiet, and professional. Next, the server, Emma, was among the very best I've ever experienced in 40 years of visiting restaurants anywhere in America, Italy, and Meso American. Last, the food was sockdologer! I had the Brussels sprout appetizer, which I lingered over because the subtle blend of flavors was so exceptional. And I had the pan seared haddock, which was equally savory, so I ate slowly, enjoying every bite. A bottle of Markham Chardonnay was the perfect accompaniment. The dessert was a New York cheesecake. There were no salt and pepper shakers on the tables, a sign of class and a compliment...
from rigid to the end everything was pleasant and delightful eating never disappointed. our friends were impressed by the service we never had to ask for. our water glasses were often filled again, but not annoying.
you can't go wrong with any choice! we saw many happy food consumers, we enjoyed the salmon and ny strip steak! cozy atmosphere.
