Whilst staying in Bath for a couple of days we wanted to visit Sally Lunn's but were put off by the very long queue. However that was a stroke of luck for us because we thought we would try The Bath Bun Tea Shoppe instead. We were very fortunate to arrive just as a couple of tables came free and so we ordered some Bath Buns and a panini. I was disappointed that I had chosen the panini when everything arrived because although it was delicious, I was envious of the Bath Buns that everybody else had ordered and devoured. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was also excellent and very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Hmmm. Despite offering takeout, we were told that they didn’t have enough Bath Buns for takeaway. Fair enough; it was 3pm on the Saturday after Christmas. 20 minutes later we returned to eat-in and two different customers bought Bath Buns to takeout. Perhaps it was a different server. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. But £14:30 for two teas and two buns with butter was excessive. Bath doesn’t impose a tourist tax, perhaps this is it

What a welcoming spot for a truly English experience. Vikki and Euan are professional, very warm and put a great emphasis on excellent service. The food is traditional English with the renowned Bath Bun as a tea speciality. We will definitely be back whenever in the area. Highly recommended and a great location in the centre of historic Bath.

This is clearly very popular as we had to wait a little while for a table but wasn’t too long. The staff were warm and welcoming and everything was done with a smile on their faces. The food was lovely! I had the beef stew and my fiancé had the soup and a sandwich, both of which were delicious. Book a table now

Lovely tea room olde worlde style. The menu was small but varied and the service outstanding.I had the Wiltshire ham panini and wifey had the chicken ceaser salad, both were excellent. Would definitely go there again

The restaurant offers a gluten-free high tea option on their menu. They have gluten-free scones, cakes, brownies, and jacket potatoes that are either suitable or can be modified for those with dietary restrictions.

Just called in to pick up takeaway Bath buns. Lovely little venue and staff are really friendly and helpful and the Bath buns were really fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

I visited the restaurant but unfortunately they no longer offer gluten-free scones or buns as they used to. They were also unable to prepare any alternative options. Very disappointing experience.
