This is a wee gem. Sits almost opposite Riu hotel in a cosy wee courtyard. Often Live music on the background adding to the lovely ambience here. But the best part, apart from owner Liz, who serves us all with a wee chat and a smile, is SCOTCH PIES. Good varied menu but I can’t pass the pies with cheesy baked beans. My husband says the breakfasts are amazing too plus square sausage and black pudding. And yes. Oh and I had to try the deep fried mars bars. Calorie hell... but you have to try them. We were so glad we came back here and had a chance to have cod and chips with peas again. It’s their Friday special and it’s delicious. You can get either small or big portion for an attractive price. I also highly recommend cauliflower with cheese and carrot cake with custard.
