Very disappointed. Visited for lunch with kids during half term. Service and staff was friendly but food was not up to previously experienced standard. Kids food very poor quality despite increased prices and battered. Food felt like it came from kitchen that couldn’t be bothered. This was supposed to be a half term treat for family but turned out to be expensive disappointment. One kids starter was taken off bill. Will be cancelling future group booking in December and would not return.
Set as you enter a beautiful old village, this pub is very clean, offers a fantastic beer and food selection, and has very friendly staff. It is a great place for an informal and relaxed meal in the bar, or a sit-down in the restaurant area. The beer garden was.beautiful but it was too cold for us to sit out and enjoy it. We will definitely return.
I was here for an event in the marquee and it was brilliant. The beer was good, the service was friendly and very fast and the food was delicious. I would say the only negative comment I have is that the toilets are a bit outdated (a bit shack like! but other than that couldnt complain at all, I had a great evening!
The food was superb. Would recommend the Suet pudding. Everything was brilliant Kid-friendliness: Very good children's menu. The cookie and ice cream is massive. 2 kids could probably share! I'm sure it a very good restaurant but not a pub anymore. Don't think I've ever been to a pub where they don't have any snacks, crisps or nuts or anything, shame. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
