The Black Rabbit. Excellent location. Good variety of beverages and ample room to dine. Price was fair. Staff attentive. Reserved a table to avoid any dissapointment (which, by 12:30, the pub was filling up fast, so I would highly recommend booking in advance). The service was warm, friendly and attentive. The food arrived quickly and was very tasty. The mushroom sausage roll was lovely as was the flatbread and hummus to start. For the main, the sea bass and mushroom risotto with tomato butter, was delicious. My girlfriend had the lamb medallions which was described as very tasty the gravy/jus a highlight . I visited this restaurant twice and was not disappointed either time. The staff went above and beyond to assist us, clearly explaining the ingredients, especially if there were any spices or chili involved. The people were friendly and welcoming. They even brought out a dessert with candles for my son's birthday. However, the food itself wasn't as great as I had hoped. Despite that, I would definitely return. It was a lovely atmosphere where you could sit back, relax, and not feel rushed. If you're looking for a quick meal, this might not be the place for you, as the food is made fresh, which can lead to longer wait times, especially during busy periods.
I absolutely love The Black Rabbit. I've been coming here for years, and the service has always been consistently good. I visited today just for a drink after a lovely walk from Swanbourne Lodge over the hills, and I ended up here. It’s nice to sit indoors for a drink or a meal, and there are also seats outside. The staff is very warm and friendly. I would like to give a special thanks to Jessie for her exemplary customer service and cheerful demeanor.
Great pub and a beautiful setting. Especially if you sit outside on the banks of the river arun. Plenty of free parking. Can get busy so would advise booking in advance. beautiful location. perfect place to combine with a beautiful walk before or after eating. the personal is very friendly and accommodating. my 9-year-old said she would have the best cheeseburger ever and it was a big size, although from the children's menu. would recommend and come back, especially to sit outside, they enjoy river views when warm.
I had the fish and chips as well as the fish pie, and both were exceptional. I also tried the charcuterie board, which was average. Overall, this place is delicious and has a cozy atmosphere. It's a must-visit when you're in town. Price per person: £20–30.
During the week, the atmosphere was calm and peaceful. The food was amazing, and the server was polite and attentive to details. The restrooms were immaculate. However, they do not accept cash.
Very nice sunny dry day in mid January walked down to The Black Rabbit from town. Sat outside amazing views. Friendly staff. Didn't order food, but what we saw coming out look very good indeed.
